Kevin began his Instrumentation apprenticeship in 1997 where he spent the early part of his career in Scotland gaining valuable experience working in the oil and gas industry, on oil refinerys and overhauling oil rig instrumentation. He was also part of a team working with British Nuclear Fuels Ltd (BNFL) in Manchester. He subsequently relocated to Cork to join Hanley Calibration Services Ltd where he worked predominantly in the pharmaceutical industry in Pfizer, Pharmacia and Upjohn and later became a field service technician for a time.
In 2000 he transferred to the Dublin office and covered field service for the North East and Northern Ireland. He returned to Ireland in 2005, following a period in the US, and established his own company, Eurotech Calibration Services Ltd, based in Co. Meath. The company grew rapidly and in 2019 Eurotech merged with Trefoil Controls Ltd to form CalX Instrumentation Services Ltd. Within the CalX leadership team Kevin oversees operations and business development.

Willie started his Instrumentation apprenticeship in Tara Mines, Europe’s largest Lead and Zinc mine, in Navan in 1994. He later joined ProsCon in their Dublin and Cork office as a calibration technician, working on projects across pharmaceutical industries in Cork and Dublin. He also supported the ProsCon environmental department across Leinster. In 2001 he joined Honeywell’s Dublin office where he spent 14 years working in various roles across calibration services, sales and management across numerous industries including Dairy Processing, Pharmaceutical, Food Manufacturering, Power Industries and more.
In 2015 he set up Trefoil Controls Ltd, based in Co. Meath. Due to rapid expansion within the business, Trefoil Controls Ltd merged with Eurotech Calibration Services Ltd in 2019. Willie is the Sales and Marketing director within the CalX leadership team, where he oversees the expanding labour and product sales side of the business along with developing the brand to drive awareness of CalX in the market place.

Claire qualified in Business Management in 1997 and since then has had administrative roles in a number of companies as well as in the not-for-profit sector. In 2015 she set up Trefoil Controls Ltd in partnership with husband Willie and managed the administrative side of the business. When Trefoil Controls Ltd merged with Eurotech Calibration Services Ltd Claire became the Director of Finance & People. Within the CalX leadership team, Claire provides strategic leadership for CalX’s business and finance functions, as well as for the management of its financial and capital resources. She also manages Budget and Financial Planning, Business Systems and Services. Within those units lie critical business functions including payroll, financial reporting, accounts receivable and payable, and financial systems.
Claire also oversees the Human Resources department with a focus on encouraging and supporting company culture, creating and leading employee engagement and development programs, and implementing reward programmes to ensure CalX is a happy and fair place to work.

Aoife was originally headed down the Secondary School Teaching route when she completed a Bachelors of Hons in Geography and Irish in 2016. She then decided to take a year out where she worked in the Cavan Crystal Hotel full-time. She went back to her studies in 2017 to complete a Masters in Human Resource Management. Aoife worked as a Learning and Development Administrator in a Food Manufacturing company before joining CalX in January 2020.
Aoife is part of the Management Team in CalX. Her role at CalX involves recruitment, onboarding of new hires, conducting annual performance reviews, developing, and maintaining people operating policies, maintaining employee and workplace privacy, processing employee queries / relations and responding within a timely manner, driving employee welfare and company culture, payroll and ensuring employee & training records are maintained. She manages our Human Resources Information System – HR Duo. She is also a part of the Marketing Team.

Paula qualified with a BEng in Electronic Engineering in 2003. She worked in Electronic repairs in the telecommunications industry for 2 years before going on to work as a manufacturing technician in Intel. Paula then worked as a calibration technician in the pharmaceutical industry with Pfizer for 8 years. During this time she was involved in a variety of projects including a lab and processes for digital pH measurement, and migrating to a new calibration software across the whole site. In 2019 Paula joined CalX as a calibration technician and where she developed a workshop for in-house calibrations. In 2021 she became Quality Manager and H&S Coordinator.

Rachel MacManus joined Eurotech back in 2013. Prior to this, she completed a Level 5 Business Studies course followed by a Level 6 Payroll and Book-keeping course. She completed a wide range of activities some of which include running the efficiency of the office, payroll, helping to schedule the technicians and leading the Quality Audits.
Rachel went back to education in 2020 where she completed an online QMS Lead Auditor course based on ISO 9001:2015. She then completed a Level 7 Management and Leadership Course in 2022. Rachel is part of the Management Team at CalX as a Customer Relations Manager. Her role involves onboarding new clients, overseeing customer portals – ensuring all documentation is up to date, managing the Verification Department, ensuring the Goods Handling team run efficiently. She handles all customer queries and is the owner of our Job Management System – FieldMotion. She also assists the Quality Manager as and when required.
Paul qualified with an Honours BEng in Mechatronics in 2017. He worked With Kevin Davis in Eurotech Calibration Services in 2016 & 2017 as a calibration technician in field service and in a medical device company in Dublin. He went on to work with Willie and Claire McMahon in Trefoil Controls Ltd in 2017 as senior calibration technician for field service working in many sectors including dairy processing, food manufacturing, the power industry and pharmaceuticals. With the merger of Eurotech Calibration Services and Trefoil Controls Ltd in 2019, he worked as a senior technician for CalX and helped with the transition to CalX and migrating all to a new calibration software and procedures. Paul became service manager in the summer of 2020 where he managed various shutdowns and projects.
